Turner Prize Finalists Announced

April 28, 2009 by Marion Maneker

Bloomberg announces the four finalists for the 2009 Turner Prize:

Roger Hiorns, who turned a derelict London apartment into a cave of blue crystal last year, is among the four artists nominated for the 2009 Turner Prize, the U.K.’s top contemporary-art honor.

Hiorns will compete with Enrico David, who exhibited at the Seattle Art Museum until last month; Lucy Skaer, who often uses found photographic elements as the basis of her art; and Richard Wright, a maker of wall paintings.
