This pair of Abraham Bloemaert portraits opened Christie’s London Old Master sale and made £133,250 even though the estimate range was £15-20,000.

d5193971lFinally, the attribution on this work calls it a follower of Canaletto. And maybe so, but £115,000 against a £70,000 high estimate suggests a buyer who thought there was a closer collection.
