Polaroid, the Artist's Choice

April 5, 2009 by Marion Maneker

The once storied Polaroid company has fallen on hard times and into bankruptcy where a private equity firm has bid on some of the firm’s assets in the hopes of resurrecting the brand. As a bonus, the firm is getting some art:

Included in the deal, however, is Polaroid’s vast art collection, which includes more than 600 original Ansel Adams photographs, 13 original Andy Warhol photographs and thousands of museum pieces.

Equity Firm Wins Polaroid Auction for $59 Million (UPI.com)
