Here’s another possible indicator of a market bottom. The BBC News runs a radio story on the art market surviving a recession that anyone with a passing familiarity with the art market over the last five years could record themselves. It’s got Damien Hirst, Sotheby’s and Phillip Hoffman of the Fine Art Fund. Instead of answering the headline question we get the usual tulip mania comparisons and “Is art a good investment?” queries.
