Six of the first eight lots sell well above estimates.

Master of Memphis (Lot 10) goes well below estimate @ $250,000

Brueghel, The Bird Trap goes above estimate at $560,000 after the Francavilla bronze fails.

Lawrence and West (33 and 34) sell at or above high estimates.
First Turner goes for $280,000.

(36) Turner watercolor $330,000

(38) Turner Brunig Pass goes slowly, slowly to $900,000. Well below low estimate.

(40) Constable landscape $900,000 takes it.

(50) Jan van der Straet passes @ $230,000

(60) Adoration of the Magi goes for $80,000 against an $18,000 high est.

(65) Barocci St. John the Evangelist bidding slow and the room comes to a hush. Finally reaches the low est. Of $400,00. Bidding begins to quicken to high est of $600,000. Bidding shoots up to $900,000. Then there’s $1 million in the room which moves quickly to a final hammer price of $1.5 million.

(71) Van Veerendel passes @ $510,000.

(72) Van de Cappelle @$640,000.

(77) Zurbaran passes @ $1 million +

(86) Ricci passes @ $400,000 +

(89) Watteau passes @$650,000
(91) Chardin still life stalls @ $800,000 and passes.

(97) Girodet passes @ $660,000.
