Refinery 29 has been paying close attention to Marc Jacobs’s new Instagram account:
The designer paid just over $2 million for the privilege of adding the work, a seminal piece composed of egg yolk (yes, literal egg yolk) on moiré, to his extensive collection of contemporary art. Jacobs already owns Ruscha’s “Heaven” (1968), which he purchased for $456,000 in 2003, and “Peach” (1964), among others.
