The Palm Beach Post’s Jan Sjostrom has this little vignette from the Lindemann family in her round-up of collector comings and goings during ABMB two weeks ago:
For Palm Beach collectors George and Frayda Lindemann, the network doesn’t have to extend much farther than their children. Their son Adam is a noted contemporary art collector, gallerist and writer, and his wife, Amalia Dayan, is a contemporary art dealer and adviser. Their son George Jr. is the president of the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach.
“I do call them and say what about this piece or what about that one,” Frayda Lindemann said. “But we maintain our own point of view.”
What caught their eye at Art Basel Miami Beach was a painting by Jean Dubuffet, an artist they like sufficiently to have three works by him in their collection.
